Tang
Tang instant breakfast drink was part of the General Foods 1962 football promotion. The deal was that one could get a set of all 14 National Football league team pictures by sending 50¢ and the inner seal from the top of the jar. Paul Hornung was the guy on the colorful grocery store display piece. Team photos were taken at training camp in 1962 and more information about them can be found in the photographer section of this website. Pictured below is the Hornung display along with some blank team set order sheets. General Foods was prepared for the Tang promotion well in advance as the 1961 Packers team picture was used in the display, matching the photo in the send away offer.
